Sometimes the feeling is powerlessness. But we do have the power, by making the decision for ourselves.

Rewind life - 9/20/08 11:30 A.M. - Taking my son to his Team Karate class.

As I pull out of the parking lot there's a commercial on the radio - McDonald's McRib sandwich, add fries and a coke, "Make it a Meal" for $3.99. Followed immediately by a - McDonald's commercial , Big Mac Sandwich, ummm and a coke ahhh... Prime time for lunch commercials. How do you fight it? JUST SAY NO! for yourself. McDonald's paid big money for that prime time spot for a commercial. Do you think they are considering your health? Absolutely not! You have to be responsible for that. Make the decision to say NO!

One of the great things about being in business for yourself is that it changes your perspective on everything. You do research that educates you. You don't have to take someone else's word for it, research it yourself.

I'll say it again, big business is killing us! From the chemical (fertilizer) companies, to the pharmaceuticals (medicines that make us sick while they "cure" us), to commercial retailers like McDonald's, it's a multi-billion dollar industry killing us so they can make a buck. (A whole lot-a bucks!) And they really don't care that they're killing us. They will take our money as long as we fall for the commercials.

But we can say NO! We can make the decision for ourselves to live smarter, better, healthier, and longer. And there are companies out there that do care. They care about the health of the American public and the health of the environment. Those are the companies we need to say yes to. We need to seek them out. Pay whatever it takes to use their products, support their causes for the Earth and in doing so make healthier choices for ourselves that will pay us back with better health, longevity and quality of life.

Best Home Based Business Tip - Anatomy of an Article - The Summary

THE DO'S AND THE DON'TS

When you take the time to look at how to properly write an article for the search engines the task can seem daunting. But taken one step at a time it can be done.

Remembering we are writing for the search engines first will build the back bone of the article. (If the search engines don't pick up your article who will read it?)

Once the search engines pick up your article then you have to entice the reader to take the next step and read the entire article. This is the main purpose of the article summary. You have a very short time to peak your readers curiosity so you must get right to the point and tease your reader with a hint at the benefits they will receive if they read your article.

Some basic article summary do's and don'ts:

Do

1. Keep your summary 2 to 5 sentences long. No more than 7 sentences.
2. Appeal to the emotion. Speak of the emotional benefits that can be gained by reading all the great information in the rest of your article.
3. Target in on your ideal reader. Share the reason your ideal reader should continue to read your article. Don't worry about every reader.
4. Remember your Keywords. This part is for the Search Engines and your reader searching for information. Use your keyword research tools to search for 3 to 5 keywords relating to your article topic.

Don'ts

1. Do not repeat your article title. This is completely unnecessary and wastes words.
2. Do not repeat your author name. Again, unnecessary and wasting words.
3. Do not pitch yourself or your business. You're writing for your reader.
4. Do not include your URL or E-Mail address, this is not the place for any of that.
5. Do not self-promote. Let the article do the promoting in the readers mind.
6. Do not write more than 2 paragraphs or 7 sentences. The fewer words you use the greater impact you have.

As you start writing articles pertaining to aspects of your home based business opportunity,
while the subject will obviously always be different, there will always be consistencies in the
form in which you lay your article out. Each article will have different components and section
which will differ in importance from one article to another. However, each part of your article
is important to the final submission. Each section and component must be crafted carefully
and with forethought to how it pertains to the rest of the article. A truly great article will impress
the reader and increase pertinent traffic to your home based business website.

An article is divided as shown below:

• Article Title
• Article Keywords
• Article Summary
• Article Body
• Article Resource Box

As we work our way through this series of articles on writing articles for building your
best home based business opportunity, we will cover each of these topics thoroughly.
For now we will just cover a few general points which apply to each.

1. Proof-read your article: If you have been
    working on your article for a while, it's a good
    idea to get up and take a break from it and
    come back to it with fresh eyes. Read it out
    loud to yourself, or have someone else read
    it for you to check for typos or grammatical
    errors that may diminish your credibility
    and expertise on your subject matter. This
    will also give you the chance to see that the
    information is written in a clear and concise
    manner. Often times our mind skips around alot
    and we won't notice it until we get away from the

    This will help you catch mistakes, and areas
    where the idea doesn't appear to flow quite as
    well as it seemed to at first write.

2. Remember your reader: When writing always
    consider that your reader is reading your
    article out of interest in your business opportunity.
    If the subject is technical, it is okay to
    use technical terms, but be careful of leaving the
    reader frustrated by information they are not
    ready to understand and utilize.

3. Give away your best information: Don't hold back,
    give the reader the best you've got, but always
    keep something to make your reader want more.
    Your article is meant to generate traffic for your
    home business website, so be sure the Resource Box
    includes additional information to encourage
    your readers to click on your link.

4. Keep your articles "short and sweet": Say what
    you have to say in as few as words as possible and
    still have an interesting read. Remember you are
    writing for an audience that is looking for immediate
    gratification. Your articles need to be clear and to the
    point so the reader can quickly see the high quality
    content you have to offer. They will expect your
    business website to contain more of the same.

Article marketing is definitely one of the marketing methods you should be utilizing to build your best home based business.

If you are just starting to build a home based business and you are an internet newbie you may be asking:

• What is article marketing?

Article marketing is all about high quality, original content that promotes you and your business, product or opportunity.
It's about exposure that pre-qualifies traffic that is attracted to your website. There are three main keys to Article Marketing:

1. Your content should establish you as an expert in your niche.

The most important thing to try to accomplish in your article is to give away your valuable information. At the end of the article you have what's called "The Resource Box" where you provide a link back to your website.

The resource box should provide enough information on your business to create interest in visiting your site. Make sure there is catchy information in your resource box that relates back to the information in your article body. Once your prospect has arrived at your web site then you have the opportunity to pitch your sale and capture your prospects information.

Another purpose behind not selling in your article is that you want other publishers to pick up on your article and publish it. This can be done as long as the information in the Resource Box is not changed. You have the opportunity for your article to be seen many more times with a much wider link visibility.

Article marketing is about multiple exposure, and generating traffic to your website that will be interested in what you have to offer, because they already know a bit about you, from your article.
